As if the Moon were too much. Something out of reach, almost ridiculous to wish for.
And yet, today, I want to do just that: bring you the Moon.

Because the Moon – especially the one in the Tarot – is much closer than you think.
It lives within us, always. It is the Cosmic Mother that dwells inside us all. Sometimes we ignore her. Sometimes she screams in our dreams, whispers in silence, pushes us to return to places we didn’t want to look at.

The Moon in the Tarot is not just a symbol. It’s a voice that knows you.

If you’ve ever looked at the card of Major Arcana XVIII – The Moon – you know it’s not as comforting as the Sun, nor as clear as the Star.
It’s a dreamlike, restless landscape. With two howling dogs and a crustacean rising from the water.

It’s the card of inner shadows, of unspoken desires, of memories you’re not sure are yours or inherited from those who raised you.

And this, to me, is one of its most powerful messages:
the Moon asks you to look inside. Truly inside.
Not the polished, Instagrammable surface.
But those quiet parts of you where your relationship with the maternal still lives:

• with your mother
• with what made you feel held or abandoned
• with how you care for others
• or how hard it is to welcome your own fragility.

The Moon invites you to recognize how much of your way of loving, protecting or holding on comes from there.
From that first imprint.

The Mother Archetype: it’s not just about mothers.

Often when we talk about motherhood, we only think of those who have given birth, who nurture, who are “moms” in the strict sense.
But the Mother Archetype in the Tarot – and in life – is much broader.

It’s the part of you that:

• cares without words
• longs to be seen
• had to mother herself too soon
• never had a mother who could hold her pain
• nourishes, protects, yields, controls or dissolves out of love

The Moon is all of this.
And for this very reason, it’s a powerful gift – to give or to receive – in a moment like Mother’s Day.

The candle “THE MOON”: a small ritual for deep truths.

I chose to contain all of this in a scented candle inspired by Major Arcana XVIII – The Moon.
Not because it solves everything, but because I believe that lighting a flame, when the Moon calls, can be a small ritual of reconnection.
A pause. A symbolic act.

A moment to say:
“I see myself. I see you. We are here, even if it scares us.”

This candle is designed to:

• support you in moments when you need intuition
• help you create a space that’s yours, intimate and safe
• become a meaningful gift for someone who needs to hear: “you are seen, you are held, you are loved”

Ideas for a ritual with the Moon.

If you’d like, here’s how you can use it:

1. Choose a moment when you’re alone and open to listening
   (before bed is perfect).
2. Light the candle and reflect on a dynamic with the maternal that you want to bring to light:
   something you experienced, something you miss, something you want to transform.
3. Write. Even just two lines. Even just one word.
   Then burn it (yes, safely) as a symbol of release.
4. Stay open. Breathe. Look at yourself.
5. And maybe you’ll discover that this time, you were the Moon.

A gift for mothers, for daughters, for those who are both.

I know Mother’s Day can be a bittersweet time.
Some have a beautiful relationship.
Some have lost.
Some longed to become mothers but didn’t.
Some became mothers and forgot themselves in the process.
Some are daughters of mothers who couldn’t truly mother them.

That’s why I believe this Moon-inspired candle isn’t just a gift “for mom.”
It’s a gift for anyone who feels, who remembers, who cares, who wants to soften something.
